Staff and Vestry

Father Brandon is the Priest here at St. Andrews and is also the Executive Director of Project 82 Kenya, a non- profit organization dedicated to serving the orphan and the vulnerable in Kenya.

Brandon felt the call to ministry when he was 18 years old and he has been serving in the church ever since. As a life-long learner, he has received a Master of Divinity and a Doctor of Ministry from Asbury Theological Seminary. He is also a confirmed Benedictine Oblate at St. Meinrad Archabbey.

He has been married to his wife, Kelli Dasinger, for 20 years and they have three children: Kenzie (16), Caleb (12), and Zendaya (8). As both foster and adoptive parents, their family has a passion for serving the vulnerable and a desire to mobilize the church in impacting the lives of others.

It was a joyful day for our congregation. Rev. Dr. Brandon Dasinger conducted his first service for St. Andrew's Episcopal, and we also welcomed our new choir director, Michael Brewer.

Father Brandon’s name has now been added to our sign in front of the church. We are very excited to start this next chapter at St. Andrew’s.

VESTRY

The vestry is the legal representative of the parish and serves as its governing body. It is composed of elected lay members who work alongside the clergy to ensure the effective operation of the church. The vestry's primary responsibilities include:

  • Financial Management: Overseeing the parish's finances, including budgeting and fundraising.

  • Property Maintenance: Caring for and maintaining church facilities and properties.

  • Leadership Selection: Interviewing and calling a rector, as well as electing delegates to the annual diocesan convention.

  • Mission Support: Helping to define and articulate the mission of the congregation and supporting its activities.

    The vestry typically consists of a senior warden, junior warden, treasurer, and secretary, along with other members elected by the congregation. The senior warden often acts as a liaison between the vestry and the rector, while the junior warden may oversee property-related matters. The number of vestry members and their terms can vary by parish, but they are usually elected at the annual parish meeting.
