Housing Insecurity
As a result of a congregation-wide brainstorming session and a discussion held in early August, we will begin a new series dealing
with housing insecurity (i.e., homelessness.)

We began the study on Wednesday, September 18. The schedule includes a weekly discussion each Wednesday at 6:00 PM with a light meal, followed at 6:30PM with an hour-long group discussion regarding this issue and concern.
We will research, discuss and discover as much as we can about this topic in the hopes of determining the next steps we as a congregation could take to help address the needs in Hartwell, Hart County, and the neighboring communities in northeast Georgia. The series will include generating any and all questions we have about housing insecurity, applicable scripture lessons, inviting outside guest speakers/experts to offer their advice and opinions, and open discussions with all present.
This series is open to anyone. We hope to include members of St. Andrew's, anyone from the general public, and concerned people who want to assist us in this opportunity.
The series will continue weekly on Wednesdays at 6:00 PM with a light meal, and a discussion beginning at 6:30 PM.
..... all are invited to join us.....

Grace United Methodist Church, Elberton
First Anniversary Celebration
On Sunday, July 21, 2024, St Andrew's joined St Alban's and several other churches for the first anniversary celebration of Grace United Methodist Church in Elberton. It was a glorious celebration, and we are very thankful that we were able to share it with them, led by their Bishop, Bishop Robin Dease, of the UMC North Georgia Conference. She gave a moving and eye-opening sermon on the "rituals" of our churches and how they "hold" us together.
It was a great celebration and feast all around!
