Hart County Pride Festival

The 4th Annual Hart County Pride Festival, held on April 13, 2024, was opened up in prayer by Father Reid and Grant Myerholtz (Pastor at Mt. Hebron of Hartwell.) The festival was held at Railroad St Park.  There were about a dozen St. Andrew's parishioners there among the dozens of attendees.  The event also collected donations for the Hart County Food Pantry; and the event raised $1000.00 for the Food Pantry, as well as collected a trunk load of food.

Read Across America

Read Across America Day (March 1, 2024) took place at the Hartwell Elementary Schools.  Volunteers from St. Andrew's participated in this event by assisting the students at Hartwell Elementary in selecting the one free book in which each child was entitled to receive.  The volunteers had a wonderful time interacting with the students and participating in this very worthwhile event.

The St. Andrew’s Outreach Committee contributes funds for projects that affect poverty and social issues in our local community, as well as the Diocesan concerns, both national and international.  Funds for Outreach are derived from earnings from the St. Andrew’s family.  If you would like to help us, please donate to the church and on the memo line specify "Outreach".  Members of our parish serve on this committee and prayerfully consider all needs in our community.

We regularly support the local clothes closet, local shelter for Domestic Violence victims, humane society and the local food bank, as well as annually offering larger gifts in the form of grants to local ministries who work for feeding and serving the local community.

Individuals who need assistance are encouraged to call or contact one of the ministries we support:

Hart Interdenominational Ministry     "HIM" knows our strength lies not only in the words we stand by, but most importantly through the actions of our initiatives.  Back in 2014, our Non-Profit Organization began collaborating with Hart County Churches and social agencies which focus on the cycle of poverty within our community. Helping the ones in need is our primary focus, trying to provide the tools to help people become self-sufficient is our service.   The mission of "HIM" is to connect people in need with churches and social agencies that will provide the appropriate help, support and education that will not only meet the present need, but will enable them to address the root causes of their personal, social and economic problems.
